Steer is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the 2023 Design Week Awards for the project 'See Paddington'.
The project has been entered into the 'Wayfinding and Environmental Graphics' category, which looks at print or digital signage and other environmental graphics for towns and cities, commercial or cultural buildings or developments, and public services such as schools and healthcare facilities.
The full shortlist and further information about the awards can be found on the Design Week website. The winners will be announced later this month.
About See Paddington
See Paddington is a narrative trail between South Wharf Road and Bishop's Bridge. It incorporates patterns, imagery and stories drawn from Paddington's heritage, culture, people and nature. Following an open call in 2019, The Paddington Partnership appointed Steer and Jedco Product Designers Ltd to create a series of graphic-led installations to animate the canalside path, bookmarking the gateways at each end. The interventions, manufactured by Trueform, progressively reveal Paddington through a coordinated package that integrate poetry and art across Paddington. Poets Sophie Herxheimer and Jo Bell, with Poet in the City, turned personal stories into charming content.
We would like to extend a special thanks to our client Kay Buxton for her continued passion and support and to the delivery team of Graham Timms, Tamara Mustafa and Alice Barber for their perseverance to see this project through to delivery.
