Steer Davies Gleave helps secure £1 billion of transport investment

As part of the £5 billion National Infrastructure Plan, and subsequent announcements by the UK’s Department for Transport this month, funding has been approved for a package of transport schemes. Steer Davies Gleave is pleased to have provided support to promoters of nine of these.

  • East-West Rail Western End (Bedford to Oxford)
  • Leeds Rail Growth Package, which includes new rail stations at Kirkstall Forge and Apperley Bridge west of Leeds
  • Rochdale Interchange
  • Manchester Cross City Bus
  • Bristol Bus Rapid Transit: Ashton Vale to City Centre
  • Bristol Bus Rapid Transit: North Fringe to Hengrove via Bristol Parkway
  • South Bristol Link
  • Croxley Rail Link (Metropolitan Line extension to Watford Junction)
  • Northern Line tube extension to London’s Battersea, where the Government will allow local borrowing subject to receiving a private sector contribution. Steer Davies Gleave have been involved in the Northern Line tube extension since the project was conceived.

We are pleased to have had a key role in securing £1 billion pounds worth of investment on projects which will support economic growth and development across the country.
