Steer Davies Gleave awarded Technical Advisor of the Year –Transport

Steer Davies Gleave is extremely pleased to have been awarded ‘Technical Advisor of the Year – Transport’ in this year’s Infrastructure Journal (IJ) Awards. The award ceremony was held at the Natural History Museum in London, and recognises companies who are leading the way in Infrastructure and Project Finance.

Steer Davies Gleave won the award for its work on a wide variety of transport deals in Europe and north and central America, including the Tours-Bordeaux high-speed rail project - IJ’s Transport Deal of the Year - and the first true project financing in the Italian roads sector. Charles Russell Director at Steer Davies Gleave said, "this award is fantastic news for the infrastructure team at Steer Davies Gleave. It is a recognition of the service we’re providing lenders and concessionaires around the world, both in traffic & revenue, and now increasingly in technical due diligence."

Other projects include:

  • Supporting the Autopista Metropolitana de Puerto Rico consortium for their successful bids for Puerto Rico’s PR-22 and PR-5 toll road concession, the only P3 deal to close in a US territory last year (and also winner of Project Finance International Magazine’s 2011 Americas Deal of the Year)
  • Tramlink Nottingham consortium for the Nottingham Express Transit phase 2 project, the only transport PPP closed last year in the UK
  • Bouygues-led Transjamaican Highway consortium on their bid for the Highway 2000 toll road extension
  • Strada dei Parchi (Italy) refinancing and expansion as lenders’ technical and traffic adviser, still the only long-term limited-recourse financing of an Italian toll road to date
