Chris leads Steer’s UK Planning business and brings over 20 years of industry experience across a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure, development, aviation, events, education, and healthcare.

His professional interests lie in shaping better places through sustainable development planning, transport decarbonisation, inclusive access strategies, and promoting behaviour change to encourage more sustainable travel choices.

As Business Head for Transport Planning, Chris is responsible for delivering strategic objectives, overseeing resourcing, and ensuring high standards of project quality and performance.

Before joining Steer, he led the Places & Transport team at Wood Group UK Ltd and previously managed the development planning and sustainable transport teams at Atkins. Chris is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), reflecting his commitment to professional excellence in the field.
