María Alejandra is a civil engineer with vast experience in the transportation sector. She has worked at Steer since 2011 after finishing her master's degree at Universidad de los Andes. She is currently the Infrastructure team leader for Colombia. Her experience focuses on projects related to traffic and demand forecasting for rail, road and integrated systems concessions, as well as technical due diligence for infrastructure transactions.
She has been involved in the structuring, analysis and evaluation of several private initiatives in Colombia, including toll roads and railway concessions. She has participated in projects such as the Intermodal Master Plan for Colombia (PMTI), several 4G and 5G projects in Colombia and several mobility plans, including those of Manizales and Pereira.
