Steer Director Liliana Pereira appointed to Passenger Rail Advisory
Steer Director Liliana Pereira has been appointed to the Passenger Rail Advisory Committee (PRAC) of the Surface Transportation Board (STB).
Read moreLiliana is a civil engineer and experienced consultant with 20 years’ working on infrastructure, cities and transport. Before joining Steer in 2008, she worked for the Transport Research Programme at the National University in Colombia and was key member of the transport planning team at Transmilenio S.A (Bogota’s BRT).
Liliana has participated in more than 50 projects and has served as Project Director and technical lead in more than 30 across Latin America coordinating multidisciplinary teams worldwide. She is trusted and strategic advisor as well as technical expert for clients in the private and public sector focusing mainly on rail, toll roads and public transport; as well as national, subnational and city public policy.
Since 2020 Liliana is the Equity and Inclusion leader for Steer and has dedicated part of the last years to mainstream gender, inclusion and wider equity issues in transport and urban planning projects. Liliana coordinates our E&I work across the company. Her technical and corporate work led her to win the International Inspirational Award from the 2020 Amazon everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards. Among other contributions Liliana was key speaker on the transport and gender preparatory session to the Fifth High Level Ministerial Meeting on transport, health and environment by UNECE.
Liliana was Mexico Office Leader from 2011 to 2019. In 2018, was appointed as Head of Operations for Latin America and working with the Regional Director she led the delivery of Company, regional, country and office operational and strategic plans for Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Chile comprising 100 staff members.
