Joel has 11 years experience in transport planning and engineering as a project manager and designer of schemes from inception through to delivery with a focus on active travel infrastructure.
Joel joined Steer in 2023 from AECOM, where he was part of the Streets team, specialising in urban transport improvements and active travel. At AECOM Joel was PM for a number of projects to improve sustainable transport modes across the North including Armley Gyratory and City Centre Cycle Superhighways both in Leeds, developing CRSTS schemes in Doncaster and Bee Networks in Greater Manchester.
Joel will support and lead projects to identify and develop sustainable transport solutions, support schemes with his active travel design experience and look to support expansion of work in the North.
